DD15
GLOBAL PLATFORM – LOCAL SUCCESS
The launch of the DD15 brought a whole new era of performance, efficiency and reliability to Australia. Designed to meet future emissions requirements across the world, the new Heavy Duty Engine Platform debuted in the US in 2007, and was introduced to Australia shortly afterwards.
With up to 560hp and 1850 lb-ft of torque, the 14.8 litre, 6-cylinder engine showcased the new Amplified Common Rail System (ACRS) for precise fuel control. Drivability and fuel economy were further improved through fitment of an exceptionally reliable Turbocompounding system to recover waste exhaust heat.
